Ramsagar Dighi is the largest man-made dighi in Bangladesh, located in Tezpur village of Dinajpur district.

The area of ​​Ramsagar Dighi is about 4,37,492 square meters, and the average depth is about 10 meters. There is a ghat on the west bank of Dighi. Ramsagar Dighi is located about 7 km from Dinajpur city.

A beautiful Ramsagar National Park has been developed around the Ramsagar Dighi. Besides, camping near Ramsagar is a very attractive thing to enjoy the beauty of the full moon.

According to history, sometime before the Palashi war, King Ramnath dug this lake to meet the water needs of the neighboring villages. The lake came to be known as Ramsagar Dighi after the name of King Ramnath.

The Ramsagar lake, surrounded by green trees, is currently under the supervision of the tourism department. Ramsagar has built a modern rest house to beautify the lake and make it attractive to tourists.

And what is in Ramsagar National Park

A mini zoo has been established in Ramsagar National Park. Where various animals, including pythons, monkeys, and some deer, are found. There is an attractive children’s park to keep children entertained.

Ramsagar has 7 picnic corners to ensure picnic facilities. In addition, a library called Ramsagar Library was built in Ramsagar National Park on October 10, 2010, as a private initiative.
