Damtua Waterfall — Alikadam
Damtua waterfall is located in Alikadam Upazila of Bandarban District. It is one of the most beautiful fountains in Bangladesh in terms of size and beauty among the many beautiful fountains in remote places of Bandarban district.

As the road leading to the waterfall is impassable, this place is now very attractive to adventure-loving tourists. Several other names are known as Damtua Jharna.
Among them, the names of Tuk a Jharna, Lamonei, and Damtua Jharna are notable. On the way to Damtua, you will find Wangpa Falls, Tuk A Jhiri Falls, and several other beautiful cascades.
The road to this waterfall is challenging. You have to walk about 12–13 kilometers on the mountain road to reach the waterfall. So those who cannot walk in a hilly environment and children and the elderly should not go there.
Good time to go in Damtua Jharna
It can be visited at any time of the year. However, there is more water in the spring, during monsoon and post-monsoon periods. So it is better to go at this time. However, if it rains heavily, the road becomes very difficult. You should also keep that in mind.
Way to go
To reach Damtua Jharna, you first must come to the 17 km point on the Alikadam-Thanchi road. There are two ways to come here. From Chakaria Upazila of Cox’s Bazar via Alikadam or directly to Alikadam.
Another route is from Bandarban City via Alikadam Road. However, it is the most convenient and time-saving way to become a Chakariya.
